Week of February 11th - 15th:

This week we will learn:

     - some more examples of the 3 major social science disciplines (researchers/theorists)

     - more details regarding ethics in research

     - what forms of data analysis may be used in the social sciences (and related definitions/examples)

     - how to differentiate a 'school of thought' from a 'field', 'branch', and 'discipline' (see terminology document below)

     - what the 3 major branches of physical anthropology are, and what each studies

     - examples of researchers/theorists from each branch of physical anthropology

     - the major similarities and differences between primates and humans

     - the importance of opposable thumbs in our current lives;

     and their importance in terms of human development over time
